In December 2019, Vivekananda Darshanika Samajam organized a residential youth camp titled ‘Nachiketa’ at Shivananda Ashramam, Railway Colony, Palakkad. The camp was aimed at guiding young boys in personality development while nurturing cultural and spiritual values. The official inauguration was conducted by Sri. M. Anilkumar, District Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra. The camp featured a diverse range of sessions including a discussion on Vivekananda literature led by Prof. S. Radhakrishnan, yoga and meditation session by Sri. M.K. Kiran, and a disaster preparedness awareness session by Fire Force Officer Sri. Prabhu. Participants were also taken on an exposure visit to rural areas of Palakkad. The second day focused on skill and cultural development, with public speaking training by Sri. B. Vishnu, a Kalaripayattu session titled ‘Kalarivilakku’ by Sri. Muraleedharan Gurukkal from CVN Kalari, and a talk on value-based living by CA Sri. Ajith Sivadas. A session on Indian history was conducted by Sri. Sathyanand T., General Secretary of the Samajam.

On October 8, 2017, VDS organized a free medical camp for women at Govt. U.P. School, Akathethara, led by Gynecologist Dr. Sunita Muraleedharan. About 50 families participated, with all camp volunteers being girls.

On National Youth Day 2017, VDS took Swami Vivekananda’s message to the grassroots by freely distributing his book Vyakthithwa Vikasanam (Personality Development) to 3,348 students of Moyan Girls Higher Secondary School, Palakkad—one of the largest girls' schools in Kerala.

On September 13, 2019, VDS commemorated Swami Vivekananda’s iconic Chicago speech at the District Public Library, Palakkad. Swami Nandatmajananda (Editor, Prabuddhakeralam) inaugurated the event. District Fire Officer Sri. Arun Bhaskar presided, and Prof. Rajan (Government Victoria College, Palakkad) delivered the keynote address. Sri. T. R. Ajayan, District Library Secretary, offered felicitations.

Commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address-2015 was conducted by VDS on September 13, 2015. The meeting, which witnessed a participation of more than 400 people was inaugurated by Prof. Thuravoor Vishwambharan. Dr. Lakshmi Sankar delivered a speech on ‘The Ideal of Womanhood in the Vivekananda Philosophy’.

On April 19, 2015, VDS organized “Dhanyoyam” at Music College, Palakkad to felicitate Dr. P. Achuthan, renowned scholar and direct disciple of Tulsi Maharaj-Swami Nirmalananda. The event was inaugurated by Swami Chidananda Puri (Advaita Ashram, Kolathur) and presided over by Sri Palat Mohandas (Former Chief Secretary, Govt. of Kerala). Dr. Achuthan was honoured by representatives from Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Chinmaya Mission, and other organizations.

VDS celebrated National Youth Day 2016 with a one-day youth camp on January 10 at Music College, Palakkad. Eminent speakers, including Swami Vaneeshanandaji (Sri Ramakrishna Math, Coimbatore), Sri M. Anilkumar (District Coordinator, Nehru Yuvakendra), Sri S. Sureshraj Purohith IPS (IG, Kerala Police and Director, Kerala Police Academy), Prof. S. Radhakrishnan, Prof. M. Pramod Kumar (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham), Swami Nandathmajananda (Editor, Prabuddha Keralam), and Dr. P. B. Sunilkumar (Director, IIT Palakkad), engaged with the youth, offering guidance and inspiration based on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. Around 200 students participated in the camp.

Vivekananda Darshanika Samajam organized the National Youth Day celebration on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 4:30 PM, at Fine Arts Society Auditorium, Tharekkad, Palakkad. The event was presided over by Poojya Swami Vaneesanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Math. Mr. Binoy Viswam, former Kerala State Minister, delivered the keynote address on Swami Vivekananda: The Role Model. The Youth Day message was shared by Prof. Pramod Kumar M, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and former Coordinator of the Vivekananda Study Circle, IIT Madras.

In 2016, VDS, Palakkad, initiated Samarpanam, to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sister Nivedita. The yearlong celebrations began in Thrissur, inaugurated by Justice Smt. K. K. Usha (Retd. Chief Justice, Kerala High Court), who lit the lamp before Sister Nivedita’s portrait.

On September 14, 2014, at Chinmaya Thapovanam Auditorium, Palakkad, the Samajam organized a grand event to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech. Eminent speakers Sri M. P. Veerendrakumar (MD, Mathrubhumi Publications), Padma Shri Dr. P. R. Krishnakumar (MD, AVP), and Sri Alankode Leelakrishnan delivered inspiring addresses. Swami Aseshanandaji of Chinmaya Mission graced the event, which was presided over by Pravrajika Tapaprana Mathaji, President of Sri Sarada Math. On this occasion, the novel Nivedita by Smt. Beena Govind was released, with Sri Veerendrakumar presenting the first copy to Dr. Krishnakumar.

On January 1, 2014, Vivekananda Darshanika Samajam (VDS) initiated the establishment of a Vivekananda Corner at the District Library, Palakkad. The corner, featuring books and photographs contributed by the VDS, was inaugurated by Sri. Shafi Parambil, MLA.

To commemorate Swamiji’s historic Chicago Address of 11th September 1893, a meeting was held on the 11th September 2012 at the Town Hall, Palakkad.. Sri K.P. Sivadas, National Trainer, Nehru Yuvak Kendra and Faculty member, Amritha Viswa Vidya Peedam introduced the subject. Swami Chidananda Puri of Advaitasramam, Kolathur was the main speaker.
