Tadvanam

Tadvanam Ashram has instituted the Satyakama Vaidika Puraskaram to recognize and honor esteemed scholars who have made significant contributions to the conservation and propagation of Vedic ideals. This award is presented at the discretion of the Ashram, acknowledging outstanding efforts in society that promote Vedic values. The award has been conferred in the past in 2023 and 2024.

The 2023 Tadvanam Sathyakama Vaidika Puraskaram was presented to Brahmasree Naras Ittiravi Namboothiri and Brahmasree Kothamangalam Vasudevan Namboothiri, both of whom are renowned and esteemed individuals who had been honored with the prestigious title ‘Kadannirikkal’ in Kadavallur Anyonyam. In the year 2024, the award was conferred upon renowned Sanskrit scholar Dr. V. Surendran Edaykidath, in recognition of his remarkable achievement - the first complete translation of the revered Yogavasishta into Malayalam. He has accomplished the remarkable feat of translating over 30 Sanskrit texts into Malayalam, including the revered epic, Valmiki Ramayanam.
